When I first found out I’d be in Europe for a shoot and a wedding, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable experience. What I didn’t expect was the opportunity to second shoot alongside the incredibly talented Jana Williams in a breathtaking Villa Erba wedding, in Lake Como—a wedding venue in Italy that dreams are made of.
This wedding wasn’t just special because of the location (though Villa Erba’s opulent architecture and picturesque lake views certainly steal the show); it was also an honor to collaborate with Jana and witness her artistry firsthand. As a wedding photographer myself, I always cherish the chance to step into the role of second shooter. What made this weekend even more extraordinary was how it came together. I was in Wales for another wedding and to capture the post-wedding brunch the following day. It’s always amazing when opportunities like these align—one minute, you’re capturing a classic wedding brunch (or is it tea?) in Wales, and the next, you’re stepping into a vibrant celebration on the shores of Lake Como.
It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do. The beauty, the connections, and the stories—it’s all part of the adventure.
