Flashback to summer 2016: they were heading into junior year, chatting through mutual friends, and swapping class schedules like any good high schoolers do. Then bam, history class. First day of school, Russell finds his seat right behind Alyssa and… kicks her chair until she turns around. Bold move. Clearly, it worked because years later, here we are, at a gorgeous New Jersey luxury wedding celebrating a wedding full of love, laughter, and just the right amount of golden glow.

One of the sweetest parts of the day? Their first look. They weren’t totally sold on doing one at first, but nerves and excitement were building, and they decided to go for it. And wow, it turned out to be their favorite memory. That quiet, private moment was the perfect deep breath before all the “I do’s”, dance floor moves, and happy tears kicked in.

Alyssa and Russell’s turned out to be their favorite memory, and the tall black front doors and the iron gates at the entrance both give you a private, classic setting for one. The ceremony room has an arched window behind the altar, so florals framing it on both sides, like theirs, make a beautiful focal point for your vows. Once it’s dark, the inlaid medallion on the dance floor looks stunning from the balcony above, so ask for a photo of your first dance from up there.
Throughout the day, one thing was clear: Alyssa and Russell’s love is the kind that’s easy to root for. You could feel it in their vows, in every hug from a guest, and in the way they looked at each other when no one else was watching (except maybe me, hiding behind a lens with a happy cry).
When they talk about this day to their kids one day, they’ll call it magical and not just because it was beautiful, but because it was theirs. Heartfelt, joy-filled, and everything they dreamed of.
