I’m excited to share the inside scoop on Alissa and Kevin’s beautiful Palace at Somerset Park wedding, straight from the perspective of their photographer (that’s me!).

Let me set the scene for you. The Palace at Somerset Park is a dreamy venue, with its grand architecture and elegant ballrooms. It was the perfect backdrop for Alissa and Kevin’s big day, blending sophistication with warmth.

A few tips if The Palace at Somerset Park is on your list: the columned entrance with its flower beds and the white facade behind it make a classic setting for portraits and bridal party photos, so plan them while you still have daylight. Inside, the ceremony in front of a full flower wall kept everything elegant and weather-proof. Before the reception starts, peek into the ballroom, because once the chandeliers are on and the room is lit in purple it looks completely different from the daytime. And step back outside as the sun goes down for a portrait in front of the lit-up building.

As a photographer, my job is to freeze those precious moments in time. From the nervous excitement as Alissa slipped into her dress to the look of sheer joy on Kevin’s face when he saw her walking down the aisle, every moment was a treasure to capture.

Surrounded by their loved ones, they exchanged vows and rings, sealing their love with a kiss. The happiness radiating from them was infectious, and I couldn’t help but smile behind my camera. After the “I dos” were said and done, it was time to party! The reception was a blast, with laughter, dancing, and some seriously delicious cake. Alissa and Kevin were the life of the party, and it was a joy to capture their love and laughter on film.

As I packed up my gear at the end of the night, I couldn’t help but feel grateful to have been a part of Alissa and Kevin’s special day. Their love is the kind that lights up a room, and I’m so honored to have been there to capture it all.
