Samantha and Michael’s wedding at the Mansion at Oyster Bay in March was a celebration of love and beauty that will be remembered for years to come. Choosing to marry during this early spring month added a touch of natural charm to their special day, as the venue and the surrounding landscape began to awaken from the winter slumber.

For couples considering the Mansion at Oyster Bay, here’s what I’d suggest: in early spring, the blossoming trees and open lawns around the grounds make a soft, fresh setting for portraits, so plan time outside before sunset. The yellow arched porch with its iron railing is a lovely spot for a few quieter photos together. The staircase inside works well for portraits if it’s chilly out. And if you’re marrying at a church first, its front steps are the easiest place to fit your whole bridal party in one photo.
