Summer is almost over but I’m still loving this adorable Longwood Gardens engagement photo session I did with Brianna and MJ! I actually photographed Brianna’s sisters wedding – and I’m so glad to be a part of Brianna’s special day now, too!
We had gorgeous weather for this shoot and I adored Brianna’s white dress and MJ’s dapper jacket and pant combo. These two were nothing shy of adorable and I cannot wait for their Pleasantdale Chateau wedding next year!
A few tips if Longwood Gardens is on your list for engagement photos: spring is a beautiful time to go, when the long walkway between the clipped hedges is lined with daffodils. The trees in white blossom make a soft, bright backdrop, and the spot by the black iron railing is lovely for a closer, quieter photo. Don’t miss the waterfall tucked into the rocks, and bring comfortable shoes for walking between spots, since the gardens are big and the best views are spread out.

We met through a mutual friend. My good friend from college and MJ’s best friend from home. We initially met back in college, then reconnected a few years later in Hoboken.
We are looking forward to working on our house and turning it into a home. We are also looking forward to having time to cook dinner together and takes walks through the neighborhood.
MJ proposed right near the Brooklyn Bridge. We had one of our first dates there so it was a special place. Afterwards we had a celebratory dinner at the River Cafe that was so delicious.
One of our favorite memories was a spontaneous trip to the city which turned out to later be the same place where we got engaged a few years later. We ate our way through Little Italy, walked over the Brooklyn Bridge, and had a fun dinner in Dumbo that night.
I think we really hit it off because we are so close to our families. Family is so important to both of us. We are both from very big Italian and Irish families and we love spending time with them. This is a value that we want to instill in our family one day.
Weaving together moments of intimacy and grandeur to create alluring, romantic, and moving portraits.
