Florentine Gardens :: New Jersey Wedding
Today I bring you this lovely and luxurious wedding from the beautiful, Florentine Gardens! Danielle and Joe tied the knot here and I was so happy to be a part of their big day. Danielle wore a stunning Kenneth Pool wedding gown and her bridesmaids stood by her side in lovely, off-the-shoulder, blush pink Amsale gowns. Danielle and Joe’s ceremony was bittersweet and I’m pretty sure there were many tears shed as these two said their vows. After church, we headed to Florentine Gardens for some amazing photos on their grounds and then the party started thanks to Vali entertainment! Read more below to learn more about Danielle and Joe’s love story..
How did you two meet and fall in love?
Our love story is truly one where fate played a major role in bringing us together. After meeting up back in 2011 and going on a few dates we went our own ways. Besides a random text I sent Joe from the San Gennaro feast. It was only obvious that I would think of him at the feast us both being Italian. It wasn’t until December of 2013 that we reconnected again and there was definitely a spark this time! Our second first date was at Fig and Olive and after that we went to Whiskey Bar where we had gone for drinks when we first met. From that day forward, we never looked back. We both got a second chance at love and made sure not to let go of each other.
What was most important to you when planning your wedding?
We wanted a venue with a classic feeling, outdoor space, great food and a grand ballroom. What also stood out was how there is only one wedding at a time. As both of us coming from an Italian families and Joe’s family being in the restaurant business, obviously food would play a major role. Florentine definitely checked all the boxes and then some.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
I wanted a classic look. I chose gold and ivory’s with some hints of blush including the bridesmaid dresses. The candles around the windows definitely made it have a romantic feeling. I wanted my theme to match the décor of the Florentine Gardens while adding my own personal touch.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding?
We had a lot of favorite memories that will last a lifetime. But the one that stood out to me the most was seeing Joe’s expression on his face as I walked down the isle with my dad. I was so excited for him to finally see me as a bride since I only talked about it for a year. Being able to look into each others eyes and recite our vows in front of family and friends was extremely special and also emotional.
How will you describe the feeling you had on your wedding day to your children one day?
It was a dream come true a fairytale wedding. It was a feeling of happiness finally seeing all the planning come to life. It was truly magical knowing all your family and friends are in one room celebrating “us”. The whole days feels like a dream to me that we wish we could go back and relive.
