Laura and Marks Vanderbilt Mansion wedding was a stunning, New York wedding. Laura chose to do blush pink colors and had the groomsmen wear navy blue tuxedos which paired perfectly for photos! Our day began with getting ready photos where Laura was all smiles. She wore a beautiful Romona Keveza gown and her bridesmaids all wore their own handpicked dresses in different shades of blush pinks. The dapper gentlemen wore navy blue Alfani Sharkin suits that complimented the color scheme very well! After our church ceremony where Laura and Mark’s friends and family gathered, we captured some stunning bridal party portraits at the Vanderbilt Mansion and then headed to the reception! Congratulations Laura and Mark, it was an honor being a part of your wedding day! 🙂

It was important for it to feel true to us and represent who we are while highlighting our favorite things. From the raw bar at our cocktail hour (one of our first dates was oysters on the half shell and to this day it is a staple date) to the Ralph’s Italian Ice cart (we can’t resist a good ice or ice cream!) to our signature cocktail, “the boat drink” – creatively named after enjoying many delicious summer cocktails with friends and family on Laura’s parents boat.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme?
Getting married on the water was an easy decision. Laura grew up on the water and it is part of who she is and Mark has taken quite a liking to any type of water related activities. In fact, both the church and reception venue were on the water! After we encapsulated that passion of our life we wanted our wedding to feel soft, natural and romantic while keeping it simple, chic and elegant.
What is your favorite memory from your wedding?
Our favorite memory from our wedding was our first dance to the acoustic duet version of 500 Miles. This song was so perfect for us and our band segued into the original version towards the end so all of our friends and family could join us on the dance floor!
How will you describe the feeling you had on your wedding day to your children one day?
We will describe our wedding to our children as pure joy. Luckily Vanessa and her team took beautiful photographs to capture our emotions and feelings of our special day!
