Stephanie and Daniel’s Hoboken Engagement Photo session was one for the books! Nice weather, beautiful light and I just loved Stephanie and Daniel’s choice of attire for their session. Stephanie wore a beautiful ensemble consisting of white pants, a mint green blouse and a peachy pink blazer. Daniel complimented his lovely fiancé oh-so-well with his jeans and simple button down shirt. We ventured around the lovely city of Hoboken, NJ and got some amazing photos. How did you two meet?
Both Dan and I met in 2008 at the University of Connecticut. It was a Friday night at Huskies, a bar on campus. Dan’s friend Jamar walked up to me and told me his friend wanted to meet me… and the rest is history! We started dating shortly after.
How did he pop the question?
It was Dan’s birthday weekend and his parents as well as my parents and sister came to visit for dinner. Timed with a perfect sunset, everyone went to the roof deck for drinks. While taking a photo, Dan dropped down on one knee and popped the question. I was completely surprised and I (as well as Dan) was so happy to have our family there for that special and memorable moment!
If you could vacation right now, anywhere in the world together – where would it be?
Both Dan and I love to travel. We have always wanted to visit South Africa and experience a safari. Our dream vacation is coming true because we just booked our honeymoon to Cape Town, Krueger National Park, and Victoria Falls.
What are you most excited about for your wedding? (Dances, speeches, vows, party etc).
We are both very excited to tie the knot and then continue the celebrations into the night. We love good music and can’t wait to dance the night away with our family and friends.
What is your favorite memory together?
Last year we both traveled to Riviera Maya. Usually I am only interested in laying on the beach – but Dan loves an adventure. Dan set up an all day trip into Mexico to visit the Mayan ruins. The day was amazing, we got to see Chichén Itzá (one of the 7 Wonders of the World) and we swam in Ik Kil, a famous Cenote (sink hole). It was unlike any experience we ever had!
