What a great wedding last night!! It was definitely full of firsts for Rob (yes we got to work together AGAIN this weekend 🙂 ) and I; and that’s pretty hard to do!
Jenni is a great planned and she did an AMAZING job decorating Water’s Edge in Sea Bright by bringing in her own chairs, linens and chargers and having them take down the tuile and things they usually have around the room. Haha, we know she would’ve ripped up the carpet if they let her, but it really was the best that I have ever seen that room look.
The biggest first that Rob and I saw was the Goldfish tradition. Apparently for every LIVE goldfish swallowed, it’s one year good luck for the bride and groom. So after Kevin and Jenni swallowed theirs, a TON of people came up to swallow some themselves! They certainly have quite a few years of good luck! I’ll update you as soon as Rob puts the video of it on YouTube.
The best first that I had was Jenni had Ralph from Premier DJ (the DJ that will be at our wedding) play Black Betty! She sought me out and grabbed me for a dance and it was a blast! For those of you who don’t know, my dad was the lead singer in the band that made that song famous, Ram Jam. Although he sang back-up for that particular song, he recently received an offer to re-record the song with his vocals! Don’t worry, Rob will have that video of Jenni and I up on YouTube soon too!!
