Lauryn and Chris’ South Street Seaport engagement photos are up! This session was so much fun and I loved walking around town with Lauryn and Chris. I ADORED their outfits they chose for their session. Lauryn wore a beautiful vintage pattern dress with some cute heels and Chris wore a dashing get up consisting of nice pants, a vest and tie! Scroll down to learn more about this cute couple. 🙂
1) How did you two meet?
We met while working for the same TV production company in NY.
2) What’s one thing you’re looking forward to in your life-after-marriage together?
Above all, we’re looking forward to growing old together and continuing to learn about each other as we go, but RIGHT after marriage we’re looking forward to getting a puppy! We’re both huge dog people and have been waiting for the right time to get one, so when we get back from our honeymoon we’ll add to our family =)
3) How did he pop the question?
Early in the week, he told me that he was going to take me out on a date that Friday. I had no clue where, he just told me on what to wear. After a long week of trying to figure the details out, Friday came and he took me to our favorite steakhouse, The Palm. We [over]ate an amazing meal, and I remained absolutely clueless to what was about to come.
Chris got the car and picked me up out front of the restaurant. He suggested driving through our old neighborhood in the Financial District, sort of like a walk down “memory lane” on our way home. As we drove past certain landmarks, I started to reminisce and bring up memories we had there. Chris pulled the car over and suggested we get out to walk after such a big dinner. We walked along the water by the South Street Seaport and I continued to blab about our past dates, reminding him about a different memory we had in the area after each step. We approached a bench overlooking the water that a few years prior, was the location of one of our most memorable nights – sitting on that bench, looking out at the water, and talking about any and everything. Once we got there, Chris gave me a kiss and told her how much he loved me. I, still oblivious to what was going on, told him I loved him too and continued on about how beautiful the Brooklyn bridge was. When I turned back to look at Chris, he was on his knee!
4) If you could vacation right now, anywhere in the world together – where would it be?
Tahiti! But since we can’t go right now, that’s where we’re headed for our honeymoon!
5) What are you most excited about for your wedding? (Dances, speeches, vows, party etc).
We’re most excited about reciting our vows, but having all of our family and friends together with us to celebrate, is a very close second!
