If you don’t know about my dad, he’s just your typical former rock star dad, had a one-hit-wonder back in the day (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMLnDuzgkjo) and is now playing with his old high school band.
Now, you might think…”Sweet, Vanessa’s dad gets together with his buddies and plays some oldies every now and again.” You are so wrong…once a rock star, always a rock star.
My dad’s new band, The Doughboys, has twice held the title of the “Coolest Song in the World” from Little Steven Van Zandt’s Underground Garage XM station and they seriously rock out when they play live at places like the Stone Pony…they even wreck the stage when they’re done!!
If you haven’t seen my dad yet, a) you’d better not be a close friend cuz you’re slackin’ on the duties! and b) get out there and see him!
